I didn't notice it at the time, but he's pressing D, F, G. I think that's shorthand for, "Depth of Field, Guy" -- a reminder that macro lenses and filters have an extremely shallow depth of field and you need to set your aperture at f8 or so for the greatest depth of field. Of course, when you do that, you often need a tripod.
